1 INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
JOHN at the table looks up from the paper at his wife who is
on the phone to her mother.
ALICIA draped on the large daybed covered in cushions and
throws. She looks pale and tired.

3 INT. LIVING ROOM - EVENING
John walks back in. He chucks the car keys on the table.
Alicia is asleep on the daybed.

4 INT. KITCHEN - NEXT DAY - LATE AFTERNOON
Alicia, barefoot, is staring at the inside of the fridge,
picking out random items and putting them on a tray. Her long

John. No success. He dials again. His assistant sitting
opposite him looks on, worried.
10 EXT. GARDEN
John walks out into the garden and stretches out, he
breathes. Their fate is sealed. He experiences a freedom he
hasn't felt for a very long time.
11 INT. KITCHEN
John rummaging through Alicia's handbag. He gets out her
phone and deletes missed hospital calls. He hears a door
shutting behind him, scares, and chucks the phone quickly
back in to the bag. Thinks, listens, and gets the phone back
out. He hold it under the tap for a second and dries it of
carefully before placing it back into her bag.
Time stands still. He leaves the house.
12 EXT. FOOTPATH JUST OUSIDE OF TOWN
John needs a walk, he feels elevated and has awakened. Turns
to see if anyone is there and when coast is clear. He shouts,
he almost cries, he is ecstatic. He cannot believe it. Then
his phone buzzes again. He looks: 'LIFE'
13 INT. DOCTOR'S OFFICE.
We see the DOCTOR RAINGOLD on the phone. The door opens and
DOCTOR MEIR sticks his bald head around the door.
Raingold looks at his worried looking assistant.

John comes home, hangs up his coat and grabs a drink. Then he
